Bev's Christmas Cocktail ... Simple but cheerful
Bev is always on the search for the perfect cocktail. And she was determined to make the perfect Christmas cocktail of 1907. She had a few interesting experiments before she arrived at just the festive taste and look she wanted. But it was worth the wait.
Combine to taste:
- Gin
- Grenadine
- Fresh lemon juice
But don’t stop now. Bev never does.
- Add an egg white for a little froth, or soda water for a bit of fizz.
- Visions of sugar plums? Add sugar to taste.
- Feeling Bah Humbug? A splash of vermouth instead of sugar will bring you down to earth.
Combine to taste, shake over ice and pour into a coupe or martini glass.
Top with a slice of lemon, a plump cherry, or a sprig of mint or all three, the more the merrier.
